Privacy Policy
G Crew Automotive (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates gcrewauto.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or contact us, how we use that information, and your rights concerning it. We operate from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, and our primary business activity is custom automotive lighting installation.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the Site and respond to inquiries:
- Inquiry-form submissions. When you fill out our contact form, we receive the name, vehicle, optional email, optional phone, optional message, and optional photo you provide. We also receive metadata about which language version of the form you submitted and which preferred response language you indicated.
- Booking data via Cal.com. If you book a consultation, Cal.com (our booking provider) collects whatever information you provide to them. Cal.com’s privacy policy governs that data; we receive only the booking confirmation, not your full Cal.com account.
- Server logs and analytics. Our hosting provider (Netlify) logs basic request data (IP address, user agent, referer, requested URL, response status). We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated traffic statistics; Cloudflare’s analytics is cookie-free and does not fingerprint visitors.
- Error monitoring. We use Sentry to capture JavaScript errors so we can fix bugs. Sentry receives the error details (stack trace, browser version, page URL) but we strip personally identifying form data from any error context before transmission.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not load third-party trackers.
How we use it
We use inquiry-form data to respond to your inquiry and, with your permission, to follow up about your build. We use booking data to confirm and prepare for consultations. We use server logs and analytics to operate the Site and improve it. We use error reports to fix bugs.
Where data goes
Inquiry-form submissions are stored by Netlify (form submissions dashboard) and forwarded to our owner inbox at info@gcrewauto.com. Booking data is stored by Cal.com. Analytics data is processed by Cloudflare. Error reports go to Sentry. None of these providers receive data we don’t need to give them; we don’t share your data outside of the providers listed here.
Cookies and storage
The Site uses essential cookies for session continuity (e.g., remembering you dismissed the
locale-prompt banner) and uses localStorage for preferences (locale choice). We do not
use third-party advertising cookies. The cookie banner you see on first visit explains this and lets
you decline analytics.
Your rights
You can email info@gcrewauto.com at any time to:
- Request a copy of any data we have on you
- Ask us to delete your data (we’ll do so within 30 days unless we have a legal obligation to retain)
- Update incorrect information
- Withdraw consent for follow-up communications
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where reasonable, post a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after such a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
